The Society of St Augustine of Canterbury

Donations and Bequests

Archbishop's House: Pillar detail

We are always very gratified when members make bequests to the Society in their wills, or make additional donations during their lifetime. Similarly, the Society also benefits from grants and donations made from family trusts and other charities. Such bequests and donations are important in maintaining and increasing the level of the Society’s funds, the income from which will be used for the Society’s future grants to Archbishop’s House.

If you wish to make a donation to the Society, or require information about bequests or donations, please contact the Honorary Secretary.

Appeal from the Archbishop of Westminster

The Society of St Augustine of Canterbury is currently undertaking an appeal on behalf of the Archbishop of Westminster (see letter) for major works to be undertaken on Archbishop’s House. The challenge is to raise up to £400,000 which cannot be met from the normal maintenance budget. The major items relate to the central heating system and to the lift. A time scale of three years is envisaged. If you would like to contribute then please send a cheque payable to “SSAC Appeal” to Michael Milbourn, Honorary Secretary, The River House, St. Mary’s Lane, Hertingfordbury, Hertford SG14 2LF or alternatively you can donate by going to www.justgiving.com/ssac.
