Membership
There are currently approximately 530 members, of whom around one-fifth are Life Members. Individual membership costs a minimum of £25 a year (Joint with spouse £40). Life membership is also welcome at a minimum of £250 (Joint with spouse £400).
Every member is entitled to vote at the Annual General Meeting, usually held in The Throne Room, Archbishop’s House. The AGM is preceded by a Mass in the Cathedral said for the intentions of the members. Following the meeting a reception is held for members and guests, with the Archbishop as the principal guest. In addition, the Society organises a summer function for members, in recent years a reception in Vaughan House preceded by Mass in the Cathedral. The Archbishop offers Mass each month for the intentions of members.
How can I become a member?
Print the membership application form (adobe reader required). Once completed, post it to the Honorary Secretary at the address specified on the form.
We encourage new members to complete the Gift Aid Declaration on the application form.
We recognise and appreciate all donations however small or large and these form an important part of the Society’s success.
